Because it is FUN!
We are a family oriented Club devoted to winter sports – especially skiing and snowboarding. While many also participate in cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating and hockey, we all find the need to be active in winter!
WHAT DOES RIB MOUNTAIN SKI CLUB DO?
We strive to have multiple low cost downhill ski trips a year throughout the winter months. These ski trips typically are in Wisconsin, Upper Michigan and Minnesota.
In addition, the Club holds an annual Ski Swap in conjunction with the Wausau Nordic Ski Club. This ski swap event substantially funds club activities, especially the ski trips. Further, the Ski Swap is a great place to sell your old equipment and purchase replacement and new equipment.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO JOIN?
For the 2014-2015 season, membership for a single individual is $15.00 and $30.00 for a family.
Signup ONLINE using our website. You can pay OFFLINE by sending a check or ONLINE with Credit Card or PayPal.
*Processing FEE(3%+$2.00)Applied to Online Payments*
HOW MUCH ARE SKI TRIPS?
The net profit from the Ski Swap allows us to substantially underwrite a large portion of each Ski Trip, our event dinners and general operating expenses of the Club.
For the 2014-2015 season, a RMSC Ski Trip TBD
This typically includes:
Round-trip bus motor coach transportation
Ski lift ticket
Après snack on the ride home
While gas and resort ticket prices have gone up the Club will continue to provide the best possible deal to club members. Nowhere can you find such a deal!
Remember, these trip prices are subject to change, but we hope to hold them as low as possible for the foreseeable future.
HOW DOES RIB MOUNTAIN SKI CLUB WORK?
As a non-stock not-for-profit club, our members ‘own’ the Club. It is the members who then elect a Board of Directors to create and vitalize the Club.
Rib Mountain Ski Club is an all volunteer organization. Your participation in Club events brings about new friendships, stronger bonds among friends and a greater sense of community. Participation in the governance of the Club has even more benefits.
